Even trained dragons, like Stormfly can be affected by a small dosage of venom. The tail sting of a Gruesome Goregripper contains toxins that, when injected into another dragon, causes it to be extremely aggressive and move around frantically.

The Gruesome Goregripper is capable of shooting concentrated acid blasts, just like its Deathgripper parent. It has the jagged pincers, protruding tusks, and telescopic tail ending with a venomous stinger of a Deathgripper, and the moose-like antlers of a Goregutter. The Gruesome Goregripper inherits the bulky built of its Crimson Goregutter parent, but it is much shorter in size. The Gruesome Goregripper egg has the shape of that of a Deathgripper, with the scale patterns and colors of that of a Crimson Goregutter.
